Sally DeAngelis "When we think of Sally, we think 'fun'– she always has a positive attitude inside and out." These words are how co-workers describe Sally DeAngelis, our June Star Performer of the Month.

Sally began her career at LGH in 2005 working in both the Marketing and Public Relations and Planning and Research Departments. In August 2006, she took on the role as Service Culture Manager to work on strategies to improve patient care, increase employee/peer satisfaction, and improve patient services. She wears many hats in her position; from analyzing statistics and patient data from Press Ganey surveys, producing the hospital-wide communication "Daily 10", leading the Service Excellence Advisory Team (SEA) and the Patient Family Advisory Councils, and coordinating the annual Town Meetings.

Sally is known for her high energy levels in everything that she is involved with – whether it is special projects, meetings or volunteering her time. For example, Sally was instrumental in spearheading the Service Recovery Program. She acknowledges everyone's help and participation – no matter how big or small, and she exemplifies the Standards of Performance in every way.

"Sally constantly provides us with the tools to learn and improve," says Annette Steinberg of Patient Access. "She brings out the best in every department and makes people strive to approach every situation with a positive attitude. I try to accommodate every patient in the best way possible, because Sally taught me always to pay it forward."

"I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Sally and being a part of her teams," says Elaine Lyons of MIU. "We accomplish a lot together, because she is so positive and a delight to work with. She is the kind of person that will take ownership of any situation, and I have seen her take my feedback and follow through on something immediately."

Sally lives in Lowell with her husband Mitch and two dogs, Shecky and Reuben. She recently expanded her many talents by completing school to become a massage therapist. She is an avid dog lover and enjoys spending her free moments with her pups. She also enjoys yoga, dance, creating art, getting together with friends and family, and of course, "having a good laugh".
