Stefanie Anderson"The personification of teamwork and pride," is how co-workers describe the professionalism and commitment of Stephanie Anderson, our January Star Performer of the Month.

Stefanie began her career here at LGH 10 years ago. She is known as a strong and supportive staff member, with a knack for putting patients at ease. She always looks for ways to make a patient's stay a little more comfortable, and is highly valued by the nursing team for her speed, support, attention to detail, and extra efforts to ensure all their questions are answered.

"In an emergency, Stefanie is always there as fast as you are putting the labs in the computer," says Rebecca Leigh of MP3. "She is the phlebotomist that you want to have around if the patient is in need for 'Stat' labs, and the rest of the time too."

"Stefanie goes above and beyond to help out the nursing staff," says Matt Reid, RN, MP3. She will research any lab orders that may seem unusual, and help figure out how to order them in ELMER. When conversing with a patient, she is always careful to pass along information to their nurse about any needs or questions they may have. She always puts patients first."

This same dedication goes out to her staff members. She is known to always have a smile and laugh at all hours of the night. She strives to make the days of others a little brighter. For example, she makes bags of popcorn for all her colleagues during the holidays.

Stephanie lives in Pepperell with her husband Eddie and three teenage daughters, Samantha, Courtney, and Julie. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, biking the rail trail, gardening, and traveling.
