Bunnavy Chak

Bunnavy Chak“She’s at the top of her game every day, every shift, and with every patient,” is how co-workers describe Bunnavy Chak, our June Star Performer of the Month.

Bunnavy (“B”) began her career at LGH in 2006 and currently works as a CT Technologist at both our main hospital and LGH Chelmsford campus. She is known for her dedication and teamwork. Whether it is a complicated procedure, contest for the hospital, or assisting a patient with a bedpan, Bunnavy is usually the first one to say, “I can help you with that!”

“Bunnavy’s sense of accountability and dedication to her co-workers is second to none,” says Kathy Mullen, CT Supervisor. “She will be the first to switch a day or shift with co-workers if needed, and recently took over the Kudos Board to encourage everyone’ s continued participation. She is quick to praise other staff and give them positive feedback, as well as take the time to mentor other team members.”

Bunnavy’s excitement for her department and LGH is evident in her recent nomination as the Radiology Service Excellence Advisor. She looks forward to working with other departments on initiatives and improving communication between Radiology and other areas of the hospital. She goes above and beyond time and time again, often taking time outside of work to assist with projects such as the “Art for Your Heart” contest, helping to assemble the department’s Sun Santa Basket, or decorating the department for American Heart Month. She is always eager to share her knowledge, and recently represented the LGH Radiology department at the Lowell High School Career Day.

Bunnavy lives in Lowell, and enjoys spending time with friends, family and her boyfriend. In her spare time she likes traveling, doing arts and crafts, shopping, reading, and cheering on the Boston sport teams.
