Cynthia Marcano, August 2010Cynthia has a tremendous patient fan base and helps everyone, with anything, all the time,” describes the dedication of Cynthia (Cyndi) Marcano, our August Star Performer of the Month.

Cyndi began her career at LGH in 1998 working in Patient Registration, and in 2009 she took on the role as Patient Ambassador at the Center for Weight Management & Bariatric Surgery at our LGH Chelmsford campus. In her role, Cindy handles scheduling, registrations, and helps the Center’s patients by setting up the multiple appointments necessary for their weight loss journey. Her “patients-first” attitude has been a tremendous asset to the Center.

“Her knowledge of registration and scheduling has assisted this department with flow and helped to create changes that have improved patient care,” says Christine LaBrecque, RN, Director of the Center for Weight Management.

“A number of our patients speak Spanish as their primary language, and they all love Cyndi and ask for her personally,” says Jenny Hegmann, MS, RD, LDN. “What she does, she does with a smile and with a great care and concern. Cyndi will always drop her tasks to fill in where needed. She simply does it without thinking... proving that she is capable of wearing many different hats, all at the same time.”

Cyndi lives in Lowell with her 14-year-old son Angel. In her spare time, she likes to go to the beach and travel with her friends and family, especially to Florida and Las Vegas.
