David LeMay
Security Department
"Totally committed to service culture; taking pride in his job, his Security team, and his hospital," is how co-workers describe David LeMay, our March Star Performer of the Month.
David, a Senior Security Officer with LGH for close to two years, is known for his professionalism towards fellow employees. "He is the ‘Spotlight King' of our Department," says Brian Donovan, Manager of Security. David's skills with patient interventions, coupled with his commitment to help out any employee in need are second to none."
The Department receives many phone calls and letters from patients and visitors seeking to thank David for his polite assistance and tremendous efforts to help them out in their times of need.
A "Safety Superstar," David responds to all CODE calls with an extreme sense of urgency, prepared to intervene and take charge in any worst-case scenario. In a short period of time he has done much to make LGH a safer place and truly puts patients, visitors, and co-workers first in everything he does everyday.
"David hustles," says Brendan Riley, Security Supervisor. "His timeliness of service and extensive knowledge of safety awareness makes him a strong leader." In his role, David trains and educates new Security Officers, educates staff at the Safety Fair, Daily 10 in-services, and at new employee orientation. He was recently given the honor of introducing LGH President/CEO Norm Deschene at one of the January 2009 town meetings.
David currently resides in Lowell, MA and spends as much of his free time as possible with family. Like several other members of the Security Department, David works out regularly at Gold's Gym in Tewksbury. He has also presented Safety Awareness several times at New Employee Orientation.
