Arthur Mellonakos"When your computer world is crashing and things seem dire, Arthur's calm demeanor and comprehensive knowledge help turn down the heat!" This is how one co-worker describes the skill and expertise of Arthur Mellonakos, our August Star Performer of the Month.

Arthur began his career at LGH in 1997. As a valued member of the Information Services team, he supports all staff, both clinical and non-clinical, with any computer issues related to hardware, software, networking problems, printers - whatever help they may need. He is known for his expertise and follow-through; always responding immediately with a polite, congenial, "can-fix" attitude.

"Arthur has come to the rescue more times than we can count," say members of the Regulatory Compliance Department. "As heavy users of desktops and laptops, we find Arthur provides ‘above and beyond' service consistently - always following through with any problem."

Often, it takes more than one person to resolve an issue, and he is always thankful to his IS co-workers for helping out. He always responds immediately and gives you a timeframe of when he expects a remedy.
"There's been more than one time that Arthur has come in early to help with a major presentation to ease my worries and make sure that all flows smoothly," says Sally DeAngelis, Service Culture Manager. "He always provides prompt service. Once he helped me with a DVD issue, and because of his quick support, I was able to support my co-workers, who are now supporting their co-workers, and so on... he saves the day, many days!"

When he's not hurrying about the corridors of LGH, Arthur likes to spend his free time golfing and spending time at home in Dracut with his wife Janine and two daughters, Miranda and Sarah, who keep him very busy with their volleyball and cheerleading schedules.
