Center for Community Health and Wellness - Health Educator (3 years)
"Working at Lowell General, there's always something healthy going on."
Julie's enthusiasm for health and wellness and for working at LGH is infectious. In her role she delivers information and ideas for healthful living in a fun and engaging way to the Greater Lowell community and among her co-workers.
She takes an active part in helping fellow employees encourage each other to live better and feel better about themselves - she even helped the hospital become an American Heart Association Fit-Friendly company!
In her mind, integrating physical exercise and activity into the workweek- walking circuits, kick-boxing and pilates classes - gives everyone a way to practice what she preaches. And incorporating some fun helps build camaraderie and makes for a happier team.
"Who would think that we could do things like tie-dying t-shirts, employee BBQs, celebrating our achievements, hula-hooping, and having recess at work?" says Julie. It's not just about coming to work and going through the motions - I truly enjoy working at LGH.
Lowell General Hospital is where Julie brings her energy and passion for health every workday.
