Deborah Bergholm-PetkaDeb knows the connection between satisfied employees and satisfied patients and quality of care. As the manager of training and development at Lowell General Hospital she develops ways to empower employees to become the best they can be, through career training, professional advancement, and other programs that encourage excellence at every level in the organization.

Strategizing with senior management and putting into place a variety of educational and skill-building opportunities, Deb carries out the hospital's commitment its people. The time spent on leadership-training for supervisors and managers, education and advancement for staff, and employee recognition and appreciation events, benefit everyone - including our patients
