Book Fair

Several times a year, the Book Fair is held in the hospital's main lobby and has something for everyone! We have children's books, bestsellers, cookbooks, scrapbooks and even special gifts such as toys and snuggly blankets.

Our next fair will be held on Tuesday - Thursday, September 14-16th.  

Taste of the Town

The Taste of the Town is the Auxiliary's signature event. Tradition is a delightful, fun-filled evening where various restaurants and caterers display fine cuisine and our patrons sample a wonderful array of appetizers, entrees and desserts. The Gift Basket Raffle offers over a dozen gorgeous baskets with everything from sporting event tickets to evenings out on the town and even the latest electronics. This year's event will be held on Sunday, October 24th.

Winter Affair  

On Thursday, February 10, 2011, the Lowell General Hospital Auxiliary will host the second annual Winter Affair.

Last year's event was an enjoyable evening filled with delicious food, a wine and micro brew tasting, a putting competition and other festivities. Paul Lambert of Chelmsford graciously accepted the trophy for the putting competition but donated the $150 cash prize back to the LGH Auxiliary. The silent and live auction had many beautiful items including a Valentine dinner for two by Bianco's Catering, a basket of wine donated by Harrington Liquors, and two tickets to the James Taylor concert donated by Trinity Ambulance.

The beautiful snow-covered Vesper Country Club was enhanced by red and pink decorations and the lovely floral arrangements donated by Belvidere Flowers, Blossoms, Classic Flowers, Flowers by Steve, Les Fleurs and Scent of Flowers. At the end of the evening, the fresh floral arrangements were raffled off.

The Winter Affair raised close to $9,000 and proceeds will benefit the Lowell General Hospital Auxiliary.

Daffodils and Desserts

Nothing says spring like the advent of those beautiful yellow flowers. In March, the front lobby will be transformed into a display of floral arrangements and delicious treats. Daffodils can be purchased to benefit the American Cancer Society. The Auxiliary sale of baked goods, floral arrangements and gifts benefits the LGH Cancer Center. In previous years, we have donated two Bose sound systems, chairs, and a puzzle table to the Cancer Center.

Checks are to be made out to the American Cancer Society.
